Understanding your story. Empowering your next chapter.

Every life is made up of chapters—some filled with connection and meaning, others marked by pain, uncertainty, or transition. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin again with greater clarity and compassion.

At Chapters Counseling, I provide secure, confidential telehealth therapy for individuals and couples, offering support wherever you are.

Begin your next chapter from where you feel most comfortable.

Healing begins with understanding.

Whether you are navigating relationship challenges, infertility, grief, trauma, or life transitions, therapy can help you make sense of your experiences and move forward with intention. With over 35 years of experience, I provide a grounded and supportive virtual environment where growth and healing can unfold at your own pace.

Deidra T. Rausch, PhD, LMFT

With over three decades of experience in marriage and family therapy, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and couples through some of life’s most meaningful and challenging moments.

I believe that each person has the capacity to live life fully. Therapy is a process of developing self-understanding, practicing self-acceptance, and cultivating the ability to be vulnerable in relationship with others. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, and that change, no matter the season of life, is always possible.

Through a secure telehealth platform, I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your story, understand the patterns that shape your experiences, and move toward greater connection and fulfillment.

I am a seasoned therapist, educator, and speaker with more than three decades of experience supporting individuals and couples. I bring a depth of clinical expertise and compassionate presence to my work, helping clients navigate complex emotional experiences with clarity, connection, and hope.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Women’s Health from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the states of Indiana, Missouri, and South Carolina, a clinical member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Since beginning my clinical work in 1990, I have developed extensive experience in areas including infertility, marital conflict and distress, sexuality, grief and bereavement, women’s issues, and life transitions. I am also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of therapists, providing clinical supervision since 1996 to those in training and pursuing licensure. I also co-authored The Fertility Guide and am a sought-after speaker on infertility, marriage, and self-care—bringing both professional insight and lived understanding to my teaching.

In 2002, I became the Executive Director of The Cabin and guided the organization through significant early growth. As one of its first two providers, I played a key role in building its mission: ensuring that no one is turned away from mental health care due to financial hardship. The Cabin grew from a small church-based practice into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2009. Over my tenure, I helped raise more than $2,000,000 to support accessible mental health care. After over 25 years as Executive Director and clinician, I stepped away from The Cabin to devote more time to my husband, my three adult children and their partners, and my nine grandchildren.
